Decathlon — D Generation Workshop Experience

To celebrate its 20th anniversary, Decathlon Hungary hosted a PR event built around the concept of “D Generation”— a celebration of how sport has connected generations over the past two decades. I was invited to conceptualize and lead an interactive leather shoe design workshop, placing creativity and personal storytelling at the heart of the experience.

We developed the workshop concept around a single guiding idea:
“Think of someone from another generation who inspired you to do sport, and express what sport means to you.”

Guests were invited to design and paint their own leather shoes based on this theme, translating memories, motivation, and movement into visual form. Throughout the event, I guided participants through the creative process — from idea development to execution — ensuring that each pair became a meaningful and personal piece.

Unlike traditional personalization, this project focused on active participation and co-creation, allowing guests to slow down, reflect, and engage with the brand on a deeper level. The workshop was fully booked, highly interactive, and filled with genuine enthusiasm as participants brought their stories to life.

A strong example of how artist-led workshops can support brand storytelling, encourage emotional connection, and transform events into shared creative experiences.
